Ribbon Flower

I bought 2 balls of ribbon yarn some time ago. I made a rose flower and a flower necklace, looks nice I think.. The instruction said to use 9 mm knitting needles, as for crochet I usually use smaller size, this time I used 6.5 mm crochet hook which I bought from ebay =)

Ribbon yarn is quite unique to crochet, makes a different texture, too bad I have never found local ribbon yarn, although maybe trying with ribbon will be worthed to try for small projects like this.

For the necklace I attached some glass beads and a wooden bead in the middle, glass bead is better but I don't have one big single bead to attach.
The rose flower's pattern can be found on lionbrand website.
For the smaller flower the pattern is:
ch 5, insert slip stitch to make a ring
ch 3, 3 tr, ch 3, slip stich to the ring (--> one petal)
repeat the petal 4 times

pattern of blue crocheted top

Here is the pattern of blue crocheted top i posted the other day. It is an easy pattern, I made some modifications for my top, you too can decide how often you would repeat the 3 dc stich.
Happy crocheting! Do show me your item when you use this pattern :D

Yarn collection - Not for sale ^_^

Yarn I have from Surabaya, Bali and imported yarn too.

blue top

Now this is my first attempt to make a crochet top from cotton yarn, i like the result =)
the yarn is local cotton and I like it as the yarn shines and doesnt look dull.
I found a basic pattern and thought that pattern would look nice as a top, did some trial and error especially at the top part..
Though I'm quite happy with the result, next time maybe it's better to follow a complete pattern and save my time..

Used up two balls with crochet hook no 5 (3 mm) and i use 2 strands of yarn

Up down pattern

This is a close up of my pillow (can be seen in Photos section), I cannot remember where I found the pattern, but it is very easy to remember so I even don't have a written pattern for this. But here it is to try:

chain -- (multiple of 6) + 1

row 1. dc all along, turn
row 2. 6 sc, * [sc into the below stitch of previous row, 5 sc], rep from *
row 3. (change color), dc all along, turn
row 4. 3 sc, *[sc into the below stich of previous row, 5 sc], rep from *
repeat row 1-4

I have never written a pattern before so I hope the above pattern is understandable :)

Top

I made this crocheted top from a japanese pattern, it is a beautiful pattern, I guess I should have made it out of cotton yarn instead of wool, but I wanted to use those purple wools, they have been in my yarn collection for sometime and I didn't know what to do with them, there were only 3 balls and this pattern used up those 3 balls (each 50 grams) with crochet hook no 4.

My first crocheted top

My first crocheted top!!!!! Boy I love it so much! I had the pattern a long time ago and it stayed there lonely as I never thought of crocheting one.. never have the courage, and also too lazy to check for the gauge that's why I never crochet a wearable one except for scarfs..

I use wool yarns bought from China, my parents bought them for me, the label said nothing, I think this is 100% wool as it is very warm to wear in spite of it is a tank top! Total I use 3 balls of 50 gram each.

Still brand new and I have to pick an occasion when and where to wear this :)

A scarf made for a friend

Ah finally find a scarf, i made it for Inge, a good friend in Melbourne, she likes bright color so this one is perfect! The yarn was bought in Melbourne when I was visiting her a couple of months ago. The scarf looks gorgeous!! First I didnt look at the yarn label instruction and used a 4.mm needle, the scarf looked so 'heavy' and bulk, i tried a second time using the correct recommended needle: 5 mm needle and oh it feels so right..! The yarn is Katia Hippy, made is Spain and 60% wool

Barbie clothes

I crocheted these quite some time ago, it was fun to crochet this but i am too lazy to check gauge. Everytime I followed a pattern, I ended up having to change the pattern to suit my Barbie :)
